How BillBox Uses AI

This page explains, in plain language, how BillBox uses AI to read your documents.

What the AI does

When a receipt, tax invoice, or other expense document arrives in BillBox — from web upload, LINE, Telegram, Gmail, or Outlook — we use AI to read it and suggest the expense data for you:

• Amount and currency
• Date
• Vendor / merchant name
• Tax invoice details (e.g. tax ID)
• Suggested expense category

This saves your team from typing everything by hand.

The AI can be wrong

AI reads documents well most of the time, but it can misread — a blurry photo, an unusual layout, or handwriting can produce wrong amounts, wrong dates, or the wrong vendor.

That's why BillBox is built around human review: AI output starts as a draft, and a person on your team checks and confirms it before it becomes a real expense record or gets exported to accounting. BillBox does not auto-confirm AI-extracted data without review, and neither should you.

Where your documents go

To extract the data, your document (the image/file and relevant text) is sent securely to our AI provider — currently Google Gemini via the Gemini API — processed, and the extracted fields are returned to BillBox. In some cases a document image is additionally sent to Google Cloud Vision API for text detection, used only to cross-check a vendor name or tax ID that Gemini read from the document; if that check is unavailable the original reading is used unchanged. Both providers process documents to perform the extraction, under their API terms. We do not use your documents to train our own models. Your responsibilities

• Review AI-extracted data before confirming or exporting it.
• Treat AI suggestions (especially amounts and tax fields) as drafts, not facts.
• If you spot repeated extraction errors, tell us at support@billboxapp.com — it helps us improve.

AI อ่านผิดได้

ส่วนใหญ่ AI อ่านได้ดี แต่อ่านผิดได้ — รูปเบลอ เอกสารรูปแบบแปลก หรือลายมือ อาจทำให้ยอดเงิน วันที่ หรือชื่อร้านผิด

BillBox จึงออกแบบให้มีคนตรวจเสมอ: ข้อมูลจาก AI เริ่มต้นเป็นแค่ draft และต้องมีคนในทีมตรวจและยืนยันก่อนจะกลายเป็นรายการจริงหรือถูก export ไปบัญชี BillBox จะไม่ยืนยันข้อมูลจาก AI อัตโนมัติโดยไม่ผ่านการตรวจ และคุณก็ไม่ควรทำเช่นกัน

เอกสารของคุณถูกส่งไปที่ไหน
